Role: Supervisor in training

Reports to: Owner/Director & both team manager and operations manager

Direct reports: Full-time and part-time FOH staff in our 2 parlours

Pay: £10.00 per hour

Ruby Violet creates bespoke ice creams, sorbets and frozen delights using only organic milk and the most simple or unusual fresh ingredients. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced member of staff to join our Supervisor team on a full time basis. We are interested in people of all ages with retail experience.

Key Responsibilities -

To oversee all aspects of the day-to-day running of the parlours ensuring the highest standards of customer service and cleanliness are maintained, staff are engaged and motivated and that company goals are achieved.

Work as part of the Ruby Violet team whilst motivating and leading the front of house staff, ensuring all training procedures and work practices are carried out correctly and there is a positive ethos amongst staff.

Be available to answer queries and troubleshoot any issues within the parlours that are brought up by the FOH team or customers and deal with them quickly and efficiently.

Provide support for staff and act as a link between them, HR and management so that any concerns they have can be voiced, listened to and actioned.

Lead core and induction training sessions with the FOH team

Oversee the running of all children’s parties and other events when needed

Be lively and enthusiastic about food, especially ice cream, with staff and customers and establish a positive and productive relationship with them as well as with the wider community.

Continually re-evaluate working practices to ensure maximum efficiency is maintained.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

Personal Specification-

Experience of working in hospitality as a supervisor or team leader.

Proven ability to set and achieve consistently high standards for yourself and your team.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Highly organised, self-disciplined and with excellent attention to detail.

Intermediate level IT skills - ability to use Office suite and databases

Qualifications:

- Customer service experience in a food setting.

- Level 2 Food & Hygiene certificate.

- Valid work permit/visa for the UK.

- Love of ice cream & a good sense of humour.
