Phoenix Court is recruiting a Front of House Apprentice

An exciting opportunity for you to train, earn and learn. Phoenix Court members club is offering the chance for a Camden resident, former Camden secondary school student or Camden care leaver to become a Front of House Apprentice. You will be enrolled on a Business Associate Apprenticeship Scheme. This opportunity is open to applicants aged 18 and above.

Job details:

· Salary: £21 - £24k per year (£1460 - £1600 per month)

· Contract length: 15 months

  • Hours: Working Hours are 5 days per week. (approx..40 hours) Applicant must be flexible, core hours are currently between 8-5.30 or 9-6.30pm, which may change as we grow. Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and evening events
  • Break: You will have a 1 hour lunch break each day
  • Qualification: Level 3 Apprenticeship in Business Administration, as part of this you will have to complete 20% off the job learning each week within your working hours
  • Based: Phoenix Court, 2 Brill Place, NW1 1DX

About the team and the role

Phoenix Court is a new members club based in St Pancras & Somers Town. It’s a place where people who are building the organisations of the future can meet other like minds. It’s the first choice for meetings, a few hours of work, bumping into people and inspiring events.

The Front of House/Receptionist Apprentice is an integral person within the team and will help to ensure an effective and professional service is delivered to members. The team are looking for a friendly, organised and proactive individual to help manage and coordinate the space and events as well as promote the company’s values. Within this role you will have significant opportunities to grow and expand your career.

Your tasks will include:

  • Support the General Manager in the day to day running of the space
  • Act as a first point of contact for visitors
  • Welcoming on-site visitors, determining nature of business, and announcing visitors to appropriate personnel
  • Ensuring the reception area, kitchen area and meeting rooms are maintained to a high standard and the building is tidy at all times
  • Manage meeting room bookings
  • Help to manage and co-ordinate the space
  • Set up the space for events

Skills needed for this role include:

  • A great personality, willingness to be friendly, insightful and a proactive person
  • Excellent organisational & time management skills
  • Reliable and responsible
  • Have great attention to detail
  • The ability to manage a range of tasks and prioritise accordingly
  • An excellent level of written and verbal communication
  • Are IT proficient
  • A passion for entrepreneurial communities is a plus

  • Be Camden resident/Camden care leaver/former Camden secondary school student aged 18+ ( applications from Somers Town or Regents Park Estate Residents are particularly welcome)
  • Have been resident in the UK / EU for the last 3 years
  • Have relevant ID proving your right to work in the UK
  • Have GCSE’s grade C or above (or the equivalents) in English and Maths
  • Not already have a level 3 or higher qualification in Business Administration
