Supporting Schools & Learners
At KX Recruit, we work closely with schools, colleges, and community groups across Camden and Islington to help young people prepare for the world of work. Our programmes connect education with real employers, giving learners meaningful exposure to careers, skills, and pathways into employment.
We support schools, colleges, and other types of cohorts, and all opportunities listed below are also available to NEETs (young people not currently in education, employment, or training).
How We Support Schools
Our offer is flexible and can be tailored to the needs of your students, curriculum goals, and timetable. We work with learners at different stages, from early career exploration to hands-on workplace experience.
Workshops
Interactive, employer-informed workshops designed to build confidence, employability skills, and career awareness.
Sessions can include:
- CV writing and applications
- Interview preparation
- Workplace behaviour and expectations
- Employability and transferable skills
Workshops can be delivered in-school or at KX Recruit.
Careers Talks
Inspiring talks delivered by employers and industry professionals, giving students insight into:
- Different career pathways
- Entry routes into industries
- Real-life experiences of work and progression
These sessions help students understand what opportunities are available and how to access them.
Insight Days
Short, structured experiences with employers that give learners a behind-the-scenes look at:
- Specific industries or roles
- Workplace environments
- Day-to-day tasks and expectations
Ideal for raising aspirations and supporting informed career choices.
Taster Days
Hands-on sessions that allow students to try out practical activities related to a role or sector.
Taster days help learners:
- Explore whether a career is right for them
- Build confidence in professional settings
- Develop practical and employability skills
Apprenticeships
We support schools and learners to understand and access apprenticeship opportunities by:
- Explaining different apprenticeship levels
- Connecting learners with local employers
- Supporting applications and preparation
Internships
Structured internship opportunities with employers that provide:
- Real work experience
- Skill development in a professional environment
- Increased employability and confidence
T-Levels
We work with Camden Council and local employers to support T-Level placements, ensuring learners gain:
- High-quality industry placements
- Relevant, curriculum-linked experience
- Support throughout the placement
